PERSONALITY

Link is notably stoic and taciturn. When he became Zelda's chosen knight he became incredibly focused, and had felt that because of his roll as champion, Princess Zelda's personal knight, and weilding of the Sword that Seals the Darkness, he needed to take his role seriously and seemed to go into emotional lockdown for the most part. Zelda had written in her journal that he rarely ever spoke. She couldn't read him, and it frustrated her on top of all the stress she was under already. It bothered her that she couldn't tell how he felt about her, and at times she had treated him poorly because of it.

He has all the characteristics of a true hero; bravery, compassion, determination, and wisdom. Outside of the fact that he can seem selfish in his practicality, it doesn't stop him from helping other people. He's out trying to save the world, but he always finds time to do little things like bring someone food or supplies, or even huge things like going after a dangerous monster for medicine, and everything in between. He rarely rests, constantly running towards a seemingly endless string of goals. He's not even some hero of prophecy, he's just a guy that nearly died and woke up to find his world in chaos. He didn't even have any memory of what had happen, so he had nothing tying him to anything anymore. He had nothing to his name save some ratty clothes and a strange tablet, yet he still decided that he was going to be the one to defeat Ganon, and everyone else's problems along the way. Link may not always be the more polie hero, but he will always put others above himself.

At times he can struggle with the wisdom aspect because he has a tendency to be reckless with his own safety. Occasionally he needs to be reminded to curb his bravery, or to rest, or to let his friends help. He may have at one point, but currently he rarely relies on other people for help in dangerous situations. The only time he does is when he's heading out to try and retake the Divine Beasts, needing their specific racial modes of transportation to get there.

Otherwise he throws himself head first into dangerous situations, most of which had been deemed insane or foolish. Things like taking on the most dangerous monster in the desert because something in its guts can be made into medicine, or simply going off roads when traveling because of how dangerous the wilderness has become. He doesn't even seem to consider holding back. He's the only one of the Champions left alive. If it's going to get done, he has to do it alone. Or so he seems to think. Though after losing everything he's ever known, he chose to remain alone in his journey after waking up. This does not lessen his compassion for others in any way though, as he will offer his assistance to any who need it.

Having lost most of his memories and the fact that he spends so much time alone out in the wild, he tends to not always be the most polite person when coming in contact with people. A number of times when he approaches people, he seems to forget to actually say anything and they immediately complain about him being creepy or eavesdropping. Other times he seems to forgo formality for practicality, not wanting to waste time on pleasantries when he needs something. Ignoring the old man's desire to talk about the sheikah slate, and outright asks for his paraglider. Or demanding sand boots off of someone without any preamble whatsoever because he needs them to get around. It makes him come off as selfish in these situations, but he's doing it for the greater good, considering he's been tasked with saving the world. He's stressed out too.

Despite his tendency to hide his emotions, he does have a silly side that shows itself sometimes. He finds fun in his paraglider and riding shields down hills and other steep inclines. He's also something of a glutton, and finds joy and comfort in a great deal of food. He is actually a pretty decent cook himself, and gets noticeably excited over food in general. He can also be inappropriately curious at times, asking blatantly embarrassing questions of people.

He is canonly male physically, but gender neutral, which seems to be a common gender expression with Hylians. When it comes to clothes he doesn't shy away from outfits and accessories befitting either gender. He's generally referred to with male pronouns (unless being entirely confused for female, which happens), but doesn't seem to care a wit either way.

-Link is an accomplished knight and hunter, can wield pretty much any weapon he picks up, even if it's meant for a much larger person.

-Can tame most animals into letting him ride them.

-Sheikah Slate: acts like a GPS, Hammerspace Inventory, and Teleport ( non of which will work in a different world), as well as stores a compendium of information about hyrule. It also contains a number of technomagical runes, each rune activates a different tool:
---remote bombs: can manifest as round or square, then explode when triggered
---magnesis: can lift and move heavy metal objects
---stasis - can freeze things/people in time, holding them in place or allowing them to build up kinetic energy that will aid in moving them
---cryonis - freeze water into pillars of ice
---camera - take photographs

He would rarely let his emotions show outwardly, which troubled his friends. This leads to him coming off as incredibly rude and curt at times, even demanding things of people. He is hyper focused on the task at hand, despite having lost the vast majority of his memories upon waking at the beginning of the story.
He has all the characteristics of a true hero; bravery, compassion, determination, and wisdom. At times he can struggle with the wisdom aspect because he has a tendency to be reckless with his own safety. Occasionally he needs to be reminded to curb his bravery, or to rest, or to let his friends help.
